Laser Resurfacing

Laser Resurfacing, a specialty of Dr. Miller’s since 1999, improves the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and scars on the face. The skin becomes rejuvenated, tighter, smoother, more elastic and more evenly pigmented.  Dr. Miller uses the state of the art Deka Fractional CO2 Laser. Most patients achieve a dramatic reduction in wrinkles and improvement in appearance with a single treatment. Watch this short video about the laser resurfacing process.

Botox

To reduce crow’s feet or lines between your eyebrows and across the forehead, which makes most patients appear years younger, Botox is a simple, safe, and effective way to reverse the visible signs of aging and has quickly become one of the most popular cosmetic dermatology procedures available. The medication is placed directly into the muscles that can cause deep lines and wrinkles to form. The procedure is fast (a few minutes), and a single treatment lasts for three to four months.

Soft Tissue Fillers

Soft tissue fillers, such as Restylane, Sculptra, Radiesse, Juvederm Ultra and Perlane provide a fast and effective way to fix lines, wrinkles, and scars. As a direct result of Dr. Miller’s leading expertise in the use of these products, many patients have reported results that exceeded their expectations.

Percutaneous Collagen Induction

Treatment of Capillaries on the Legs and Face

Legs

Sclerotherapy treats dilated blood vessels in the leg with an injection, usually a dilute detergent solution. The solution irritates the blood vessel lining, which causes it to regress. Dr. Miller uses the finest gauge needle available for a very gentle experience with precise results. Sclerotherapy can be performed any time, but many patients prefer treatment in the fall and winter.

Face

Bothered by tiny red lines or a flushed appearance on your cheeks and nose? With Miller Dermatology’s KTP laser, unwanted facial veins are treated with pinpoint accuracy, leaving the surrounding skin untouched. This quick procedure is performed in the office with no local anesthesia and minimal side effects. Your face will appear flushed for a few hours afterward but you can resume your normal activities right away. Post-procedure care is minimal and results are seen immediately after treatment.

Pigmentation Problems

Treatment of blotchy brown pigmentation on the face, chest, back, arms, and hands is a specialty of Miller Dermatology. We have many products and procedures to recommend, from at-home glycolic acid and specially compounded bleaching creams to office procedures using chemical peels and lasers.

Hair Loss Treatment

Men, if you’re tired of watching your hair get thinner or your hairline recede further back, Propecia may be the answer you’ve been waiting for. No more messy sprays, shampoos, or telltale hair replacement procedures. This is an oral medication that is simply taken once a day with minimal chance of side effects. Normally, the medication must be taken for three months before you will see noticeable results, which will last as long as you keep taking it. Overall 88% of men find that Propecia prevents hair loss and 63% get at least some hair regrowth.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels have been used for many years to help create a more youthful appearance of the face, neck, chest, back, arms, and hands. Peels can improve a wide variety of skin conditions including fine lines and shallow wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, sun-damaged skin, age spots, and freckling. For this in-office procedure, Dr. Miller will select the right peeling agent for your skin. Your reaction to the peel will be similar to a sunburn: from very mild to a more pronounced reaction. Generally, the deeper the peel, the longer the recovery, but the greater the benefits. The end result is skin that is tighter, smoother, and has a lighter pigmentation.

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion offers benefits to people of all skin types. Through the use of gently abrasive crystals, microdermabrasion gently removes the upper layer of dead skin cells. Removal of the dead tissue brings the healthy underlying layer of skin to the surface, encouraging healthy skin rejuvenation. The process is painless and non-invasive, usually taking less than 30 minutes for a complete facial treatment. Microdermabrasion leaves the skin softer, smoother, and fresher looking than many patients have thought possible.
